Transparency note. CheerFinds is paid by retailers: if an offer you found here is honoured at a checkout, the retailer sends us a commission. Nothing you pay changes. How that works

What CheerFinds stores on your device, what the affiliate networks store, and how to stop both.
This page explains what is stored on your device when you read CheerFinds, who stores it, and how to be rid of it. We have tried to keep it to the things that are actually true of this site rather than reprinting a generic list of everything a website could theoretically do.
What CheerFinds itself stores
Very little, and none of it identifies you.

We run no advertising cookies of our own, no cross-site tracking pixel, and no profile of you is built from your reading. There is no advertising on this site to target.
What happens when you follow an offer
This is the part that involves third parties, and it is the whole reason the site can exist. Selecting a code or a deal opens the retailer in a second tab through an affiliate network — Awin, for example. At that moment the network and the retailer set their own cookies in your browser so that if you buy something, the shop can see the visit began at CheerFinds and pay the commission described in our transparency note.
- Those cookies are set by the network and the retailer, not by us, and are governed by their privacy policies rather than this one.
- They typically record which publisher sent the visit and when, and they usually last between a day and thirty days depending on the programme.
- We never see your name, your basket or your card details. What comes back to us is a count of sales and a commission figure.
- If you block them, the shop will not know we sent you and we will not be paid — your purchase goes through exactly the same.
Analytics
If we ever add an analytics tool, this page will name it, say what it collects and be updated before it is switched on. At the time of writing there is none.
Turning cookies off
Every browser can block or delete cookies, usually somewhere under Settings, then Privacy. Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all also offer a private window that discards everything at the end of the session. Blocking third-party cookies will not break anything on CheerFinds; it only stops the affiliate networks recognising the visit.
Clearing your browser’s storage will also clear our dismissal marker, so the cookie notice will appear once more on your next visit. That is the notice working, not a fault.

If what the site stores changes, this page changes with it and the date below moves. It is worth a glance if you have not read it for a while.
